raynal jacques

Jacques Raynal is a French Polynesian politician affiliated with the Tapura Huiraatira party, who served as a Cabinet Minister under the administrations of Gaston Flosse and Édouard Fritch.

He held the position of Minister of Health and Prevention from January 2017 to May 2023, and previously served as Minister of Solidarity.

Raynal was initially appointed as Minister of Health in February 2009 and reappointed in 2017, during which he implemented a sugary drink tax to combat diabetes and managed the region's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
